Recoil III poor performance with battery removed.

Another thing the battery had to be taken out because it was going to blow up soon.
Hi, did you manage to solve the problem? I had to take out battery from my Recoil III for the same reason and after this the FPS dropped significantly. The temps are normal or low. GPU is at 55 degrees max when running Unigine Heaven. I checked HW Info while the benchmark was running and my suspicion is that there is power limit when the laptop is powered only by AC Adapter.

is this a pcspecialist system? Can you post your full specs from the order page?
It is. However this laptop wasn't purchased directly from PC Specialist. It was purchased about 2 years ago in a store that no longer exists. They bought it from PC Specialist and delivered to me. Well, nevermind :p
I made screenshots from HW Info. There is enough info about this laptop. Also screenshot of GPU sensors from HW Info while running Heaven benchmark.
And as I said before, FPS dropped after the battery was removed so this is my lead. For now it's working without battery, powered only by AC adapter.

Unfortunately, if you didn't have the warranty transferred to you by the place you bought it from, I'm afraid you have no support available.

Most modern laptops will drop performance without a battery inserted, that's expected really.

Well, it's important that it works. I can manage without support. At this point I need information if I can buy new battery from PC Specialist or do I have to search on Amazon, eBay, somewhere else ;)

Unfortunately, we can only provide support to PCSpecialist customers I'm afraid, we have no way of verifying if your device was actually bought by yourself and not obtained through other means.

PCS will only deal with people who have an account with them, unless you get the warranty transferred, which any reputable reseller would have done, I'm afraid they won't deal with you. It's to avoid stolen merchandise, and most companies are now dealing with things this way.

These forums are only for PCS customers I'm afraid, you'd need to check out an open forum like Toms Hardware.

In this case the warranty was valid for 2 years and it expired in June this year so I'm not expecting any warranty repairs.

I just want to buy new battery and install it by myself. Nothing more.
If PCS is able to sell a new matching battery for my laptop then I'll be happy.

As I said, they'll only deal with you if you have a transferred warranty and account, which any reseller would have done for you when you purchased. Otherwise they won't deal with you.
