This is the PC I ordered, primary use is gaming, is it acceptable?

It's just not very good mate, it'll work but it wont last long and you've really made some bad choices and hamstringed performance but you wouldn't have even saved much money

I'd honestly recommend cancelling and we can help you put something together to get you much more bang for your cash

As above, that's very poor unfortunately. A number of under-performing choices have been made.

Ah I see, I don't have much experience with PC's so it was probably a bad idea. It's at the 'Awaiting Dispatch' stage, so I don't think I can cancel it. Is there any way to recover from this or improve on it?

I see. Apologies, due to lack of knowledge in this field. I just wanted a PC to use to game with friends. Would you say it can still be used for a solid gaming experience? Any way of making any sort of reparations, and is there anything good about it, or is it completely pointless?

You can return for refund in the first 14 days (cooling off period), you will have to pay a shipping/collection fee but full price of pc will be refunded. So when it arrives, don’t open it, contact PCS to start a return.

In the mean time, what is your budget and posters can give you a new spec.

I'd give PCS a call first thing if you can (they open at 0900) and try to get them to stop it being sent.. Its worth asking in my opinion, you could be right, there might be nothing they can do... but worth checking!

Well, the one I made above was in total £1400. So I guess around there, if possible cheaper would be nice, but I am not too fussed if I can make it better for the same price. Although, I would like it to have the full setup like above, like the monitor, kbm, headset and all of that stuff

Originally it had 512 GB storage, but I had to change it with a sub payment as I googled that is nothing for a gaming PC, so If anyone could recommend me something nice, or point me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated.

Honestly mate in your budget you should be looking at a machine like this, it'll perform much much better than the one you have above and most importantly be upgradeable. I'll be honest it'll be tough to get a monitor, mouse and keyboard in that budget as well. Would this be something you could pick up over time starting with the machine first and decent monitor then pick up the peripherals later?

I see, what kind of budget would I need to push it to for the all-inclusive gaming setup, with everything included?

Also, would this allow me to have solid graphics on fps games like CoD and Valorant etc...

If you wanted to get the monitor from PCS as well this is the one I'd recommend for this build

Case
LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 GAMING CASE - Solid case that's very very good for the price. It's a great budget options that looks great, offers plenty of space and has really good airflow for passive cooling
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Six Core CPU (3.5GHz-4.4GHz/35MB CACHE/AM4) - The 5600 is a relatively new chip that offers very similar performance to the 5600x but it's a bit cheaper and draws less power helping everything stay cool. It's very good actually should last a very long time
Motherboard
ASUS® TUF GAMING B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready! - Suitable board for the 5600
Memory (RAM)
16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB) - Ryzen CPU require fast RAM to operate to the full capacity. The 3200Mhz is the nice sweet spot for that so you can get the most from your CPU
Graphics Card
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 - HDMI, DP - VR Ready! - Budget constraints the first place we make savings is the GPU. It's the most expensive component but it's also the component that gets changed the most. The 2060 though is very very good, probably the most popular GPU of it's generation for good reason. As for upgradeability this is where you would upgrade a couple of years down the line. Put in a modern GPU and you'll bring you PC back to modern performance as the rest of the parts where selected so they don't have to be upgraded for a long time or ever.
1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB INTEL® 670p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 3000MB/sR, 1600MB/sW) - Solid reliable and mid tier in speed M.2. This is our go to in budget builds
1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB PCS PCIe M.2 SSD (3300 MB/R, 2900 MB/W) - PCS branded M.2 from reports from guys here over the years are fairly solid and offer pretty good speeds. Good cheap and fast storage
Power Supply
CORSAIR 750W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET - This is another area I made compromise. Ideally I want to recommend the 850W RMx as it's the go to PSU but this one is also very good. Plenty of wattage to support a GPU in future and if you wanted to add more fans or upgrade the CPU for any reason this should support it well
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead)
Processor Cooling
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 (120mm) Fan CPU Cooler Black Edition - Ample cooling for the 5600, it's reliable and cheap
Thermal Paste
STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Card
10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT
Wireless Network Card
WIRELESS INTEL® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 2,400Mbps/5GHz, 300Mbps/2.4GHz PCI-E CARD + BT 5.0 - The go to Network card, also offers Bluetooth so you can connect any controllers you might have or want to the machine
USB/Thunderbolt Options
MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS

Monitor
MSI 24" Optix G24C6 - 1920 x 1080, 1MS, 144Hz - Good 1080p monitor, in future you'll likely want to upgrade to 1440p as 1080p is pretty much at the end of it's like but in a few years 1440p and even 4K GPU's should be very affordable. This is what I meant when I mentioned upgradeability
Warranty

Oh absolutely at 1080p you'll be pushing very high frame rates and it'll let you get acceptable frame rates at 1440p so long as you tinker with the settings

As for a total cost I'm not sure mate it's all down to how much you want to spend on a keyboard and mouse. An affordable mouse that I think is great is the Razer Deathadder, I've been using them for over 10 years and think it's brilliant. Can usually pick them up for under £40

The keyboard however we can get in the weeds. some of us wouldn't think twice about dropping £100+ on one so it's all down to your budget and what you want

Oh, I see, so I was using the wrong storage too? I see you have SSD Storage, I was adding 2TB to the other one...

And I could use this as a template and add a headset, keyboard and mouse and all the other peripherals on top of that?
Would there be any way in making this better too, just so I have an idea of what to do and just general knowledge?

I re-read over your comments and see you mentioned it can be upgradable over time, by that you mean the system itself can be upgraded, or just the setup in general, like peripherals and stuff.
Sorry for the question spam, I really don't know about this stuff and wanted to game with the boys on PC as I'm a PS main.

yeah sure

HDD are still fine for general storage but you wouldn't game off them these days, they are magnitudes slower than the slowest M.2 SSD's. Load times will be drastically improved by them but for storing images or videos HDD's are still great for this as they are cheap.

I'll edit my post and add explanations on why I choose what I did to hopefully shed some light

As for upgradeability what I'm talking about is having a build last 5-7+ years rather than 2-3 years. You can set it up now to allow for future upgrades years down the line, as making them changes then can be very expensive and time consuming

I would spend a bit more on the secondary storage. I don't think the PCS drive offers great value now as the 670 is only £3 more and offers better speed and far better endurance.

I would also just fork out the money for the 850 RMx. It'll pay dividends down the road. So many people regret low-balling the PSU in later years.

I've also thrown in a basic keyboard and mouse. This would very much be a starting point though. I would look to upgrade these. They are very personal items though so you would need to find what fits you ergonomically.

Absolute legend! Can't thank you enough for shedding some light on what could have been a slight waste of money for a quick solution rather than a long-term investment which is what I wanted.
