Hi all hope you can offer some advice, for a little while now I have had a repeating issue.

When gaming the monitor screen will go black for a couple of seconds then back on. Best way I can describe it as though it is losing signal then back on . It’s not just screen going dark but like monitor turned off screen.
There is no set time or event that this happens, just when gaming , never happens when just on desktop,

I have tried gpu drivers, have purchased new dp cable .I am going to try swapping to another monitor to eliminate that.

Logically to me it’s gpu on its way out possibly. Possibly a psu issue to the card now and again.
Just looking for little advice before I start throwing money at it , I would probably send it back to pcs anyway.
Thank you all

As a very quick test, install this driver but use DDU in safe mode to properly clean the current drivers first:

This is the last stable version before they rolled out the RTX 5000 series support which caused the kinds of issues you're describing for many users

Just to rule out driver issues

It could well be transient spikes causing the PSU to cut power temporarily also but the above is a good first thing to rule out

Just be aware those ones are from December last year, so if you’re playing any cutting edge new titles they may not support them.

Unfortunamely whatever they did as of the January release to now to include RTX5000 is still now causing issues for some people.

yes i am only really playing day z and older released mmo games , so all good for them titles . I will be eventually upgrading to a newer card for better 4k experience and hopefully latest drivers will work as intended . but that's a little while off , the prices are scary :)
