Would getting an i7-7700k used, for cheap be good atm and then upgrade pc fully later?

Even when I put settings to ultra and run a benchmark, it doesnt even out in usage but the frames just get worse.

Thanks for doing this its very helpful :) I run games at 1440p 60 fps, and games like ac odyssey and RDR2 are all being bottlenecked by cpu (thats at 100% in dense areas but gpu is at 10%)

Oh okay, will what I've got selected atm be compatible with the 5900x? Plan on mainly using it for gaming, probably not overclocking anything apart from gpu as have done that before.

Is the B-550plus not compatible with it and its not a definite plan on the 5950x but will be one of the new CPUs that released this month. Why will I need the different cooler? Is it not that good? Thank you
