Upon further digging I found that my laptop is a Digital Storm Avon. Still not sure how to activate the fan

OMG I don't believe it was that. Why was that not connected?. It says that they test before sending the machines out. Thank you for suggesting it, works fine now cause yes it was not connected :sleep:

Nope, everything is fine. Even the network adaptors show up. I also tested by plugging in a wired connection and it works fine with that. Sadly though I do need the wireless because of my limited facilities
