Yep GPU as HW acceleration and gaming. At 1080p I think most games are CPU bottlenecked for frames anyways, no point of going for a 2080Ti. Plus saves me some cash as well as the 3000 series will probably me out mid 2020 anyway, so gives me an excuse to sell and upgrade,

The 3950X doesn't come with an AMD cpu cooler out of the box. Plus, you'd probably want an AIO liquid CPU cooler to cool that monster of a chip. I would recommend getting at least a Corsair H100i, and a H115i if possible.

I do agree that Strix is overpriced if it is the basic version. (They’re charging the same price as an OC version though).
