May I ask though, why the 1200w psu? I understand that higher end gpu's...

Honestly, that is an option of course but I have never actually built a PC and my current rig only has a 650w psu, so that would need changing to.
Plus I could sell my current rig to offset the cost. but it is a fair shout.
