Hopefully it's all good. Phoned Tech Support and spoke with Matthew, things have changed since I last done any of this over 10 years ago and I hadn't deleted all the partitions on the drive so Windows was getting itself confused and getting stuck in a loop, but got this sorted and at least I've...
I’m trying to re-install a clean copy of Windows 11 as per my previous thread.
I formatted the system installation drive and allowed Windows to boot from a USB and re-install Windows. I get past the boot screen to the PCS logo with a spinning circle. This then fades to another PCS logo with a...
Windows XP / 7 reinstalls were easy I used to just boot to CD then re-format C and re-install but not having had to do it in a long time I wasn’t sure how much had changed
Might be able to salvage it if anyone knows how I could maybe get in to MS Config to uncheck Safe Mode Boot. If I could even get into Safe Mode but the Hello Pin is what’s messing me up (cos I stupidly never thought to turn it off!!)
My only issue is if I need to do a re-installation of windows from scratch by formatting C I’m not sure of what drivers were put on the PC when it’s was assembled at PCS
I know the screen usually goes off and on during Nvidia updates but this time it just sat at a black screen which I've never had before.
Usually when I've done a reset before it re-downloads Windows and re-installs but I recently bought a new PCS system and this is first time I've never been...
I tried to install a new graphics driver and whilst the new Nvidia driver was installing I kept getting a black screen which I've never had before. I then tried to play Doom Dark Ages and received an Incompatible Driver error, it was running just fine yesterday until I tried to install the new...
I've actually had this happen, here's a couple of things that I went through and eventually everything has worked fine since.
Firstly run a virus scan of the system to make sure there are no spyware, malware of viruses on the PC.
Run the Windows AppStore Troubleshooter by going to Settings...
Got up this morning and unplugged the machine. Unseated the graphics card and the memory and plugged them all back in and hey presto seems to be working okay again. Think it might have had too much of a had a bit of a New Year Hangover but seems to be back to okay today. Will keep and eye on...
I turned my PC on tonight and as usual it went through it's post boot check and I was greeted with 1 long beep and 3 short beeps and no display on the TV which usually displays the PCS logo as it boots into Windows 11. I powered the PC down and tried again as I've had it fail to boot before...
I've done a reset and re-installation of the operating system and the system has come back up as normal. I'll need to do some checks on the M2 SSD tomorrow just to make sure in case the drive could be the problem, but just looks like it could have been a strange Windows 10 corruption hopefully...
Ah okay thanks sorry didn't realize I'm getting tired lol but trying to sort this before bed. I was actually just thinking I'm sure I'd posted an image lol
I don't appear to have any errors on the hardware side (no warning beeps). It appears to me that it could be a Windows 10 problem either a corrupted MBR or system files. I've initiated a Reset of the PC and a re-installation of the Windows Operating System
Just throwing this out on the forums in case anybody has any ideas. I've contacted Tech Support in the hope that they might be able to help with the issue.
I haven't used my PC in a few days after I last used it and everything worked fine. I closed the PC down by shutting down windows as I...
I've not tried this yet as I'm wanting to run my memory at 3600 as that's the reason I bought it rather than having to drop down to stock speed of 2400 but if there's any more information I'll be keeping an eye on this and contact PCS into the New Year. Hopefully this has sorted out the...
