Update, Just to advise that I managed to do a clean install and the problem is long gone, though i was missing the TPM and managed to source one and install it and everything is as good as new now.. Final thanks for all your assistance in sorting this issue out.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok so, carried out a full system recovery this morning using the inbuilt recovery settings, nice to see a shiny new computer, however, when i shutdown the problem has re occured, the application i installed after recovery was vivaldi (chrome based browser) all updates to OS...
Yeah i think ill go down the win re install. Do you mind if i ask, are both of you anything to do with the technical support for pc specialist, because if you are seperate i can still run this by them, as im still in warranty.
Ahhhhh well one of the things i did was to enable and re enable avast virus and firewall with no luck I then removed avast from the system and installed a different one today, and still have no effect with this error.
Im thinking if i have to do a re install of windows then its not a problem...
i did consider this a few days ago thinking it might have been a pc case power button issue but opted to keep going with other stuff and ultimately the forum. I think the linux mint route may be a game changer in this discussion
Ok soooo installed linux mint onto pen drive, did a hard reboot, had to go into settings to get a boot menu, where i booted from the pen drive. Got into linux all ok. And did a shutdown and voila it shut down and remained shut down. So im quietly pleased that its not a hardware issue.
Have ran the event viewer just to have a look and the following screenshot may tell you something. Im rather lost at this point and didnt proceed any futher.
