How would you say it is without the cooler? Right now i can get a competitor i7 with a 4080 and faster memory than the recoil (5600mhz) and 3 year upgraded support for under £2600. The actual laptop is under £2400
I'd also want to be using this laptop on a plane for long distance so no extra...
So I have an update I had to use 2 pcie cables as PC specialist only installed two and installing more is a huge pain due to their cable tying. However, that said, rebar is enabled with the 4080. So this is a BIOS bug with the 3080
Well the part number is on the list but my module number in icue is a different version to the one on the qvl. So it looks like there was revised modules

Only thing I've noticed is the qvl.does specify a specific version. So I've contacted corsair about that as mine is a different revision. This is the first time I've ever seen that actually being important
Of course but it seems incredibly tiny and the latest BIOS improved 6800mhz support but the qvl list still seems to have not many 6800, I do not believe it has been updated in some time to match the bios.
So my Asus board died on me and I had too much going on to deal with building a new rig so I got a prebuilt from pc specialist with the aorus master board. However it is extremely unstable with my memory that was fine on the Asus board...
Made a fresh windows image using the tool on Microsoft's site. Then ran the setup tool via a bootable drive formatted the disk that had the previous OS on it and installed from the freshly made image
I got someone to run some tests while I dealt with my pet. Didn't do another windows install. Ram is running at 4800mhz and the rig is now fully stable it seems survived two 1 hour tests instead of failing within 5 minutes. So this motherboard unlike my Asus one that died does not seem to like...
My pets currently dying in my arms. I'll report back tomorrow if I'm up to it... Is there anyone from support I can directly contact rather than just calling? I just need a Working computer...
Running a full windows 11 reset that removes everything now. I do not think this will work.
Update: fresh build of windows did not work.
It is also crashing in Intel CPU stress tests and memory tests. Even though temperatures are fine. Running another CPU stress test with Ram clocked at 4800mhz
OK so rebar will not enable no matter what. The computer on boot is taking significantly longer, there's definitely something funky with the bios/motherboard. I can't get it to boot into a memtest86 image from a USB.
Returnal crashed about 50 minutes in. The rig is completely unstable. I do not...
Yep done it with my swap from my old personal build to new personal build, my other friends in tech have also been doing for years. Never had any issues.
I'm actually talking to a friend ATM who had a Xeon rig and upgraded to a 10th gen i5 still using the same disk with the same windows build...
