I didn’t feel the need to make too many changes on this one, mainly tweaking the storage situation so you’ve got more super speedy goodness.

Also took the thermal paste off because the Corsair cooler (which I upped to the more appropriate H115i) comes with a high quality paste already pre-applied.

And I added the WiFi card that’s a bit quicker and has the built in Bluetooth. I run an Ethernet cable to mine but the Bluetooth is handy for my Xbox controller.

If you really wanted to go all out you could move the CPU up to the 5950X and the motherboard to the Crosshair. But that seems a bit overkill, you’d be better off spending the rest of the budget on games... or putting it towards VR kit 🤔

I really would’ve liked to have put this build in the Corsair 680x case but sadly it’s just gone out of stock again.

I would also have a serious look at the new AMD cards, they apparently give a performance boost when coupled with latest amd CPU’s

I would keep the RAM at 2x16GB 3200mhz, but other than that the spec from @AgentCooper is what I would go with :)
Given that RAM generally works better as a single pair and after reading what you wrote about the CAS latency giving no real difference between 3200MHz and 3600MHz I’m inclined to agree 👍
