Just wanted your oppinion on the laptop I've ordered a few days back :

Wanted to invest in a machine for gaming and photo/Video editing. The build was 200 above initial budget. Hoping to manage for a few years. Only addition, in the future, will be a second ssd (biggen, slower) for local storage. Also, I'm considering bying the water cooling unit.

Looks good, although you don't want a single SSD, especially for editing, you'd need at least 2 preferably 3

1 for OS and programs
1 for live projects
1 for storage

That model REQUIRES the watercooler or will constantly throttle and you'll never get available performance.

Note that the Recoil 16 only has two M.2 slots available

@coppena You would need the Recoil 18 (INTEL) chassis for 4 slots.

Just on the GPU, from what I've seen reported, on the mobile 5000 series, the 5090 and 5080 are very much the same chip, it's just the VRAM that's different, so definitely a good fit for your use here.
