Anyone use Teamviewer Remote Access

Hi All

Just wondering does anyone have any knowledge on Teamviewer?

I'm pretty new to Teamviewer so not sure how to sort this. An IT guy setup access to my Laptop via Teamviewer and showed me the basics. What he did was setup unattended access to my laptop and home desktop by adding the computers into his account, so that when I was out to work he could log in and sort a few problems for me. This was great at the time but since then he has become less reliable and less trustworthly. Is there a way I can block his access or remove my computers from his account?

Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm a little worried he could cause trouble with the computers.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The easiest way is to uninstall teamviewer and it's settings. then you can reinstall. Once uninstalled it will delete his unattended access credentials and he will lose any connection.

^^ As above.
If he was a decent IT guy he would of set up proper secure remote desktop.
The best thing is as above and just un-install the program completely.

As much as i agree with all the above advise about uninstalling, this one is bugging me...

What do you mean by that? Using TeamViewer or LogMeIn Rescue is as secure as anything else. Not quite sure why using that software would make him less "decent IT guy". Unless I totally misunderstood what you were trying to say - which is highly possible.

Probably just me, I dropped Teamviewer a long time ago in favour of VPN's and Remote Desktop.

Ignore my previous post :)

thanks guys, I'll try the un-install and re-install, it's a very handy program to have, use it at least 2 or 3 times a week. I was thinking there would have been away for removing a username from a list of logins.

Appreciate the response

If you intend to keep the program then you can simply log out of the account it is linked to and make your own.
If I remember when you open teamviewer from the taskbar you have the linked account computers on the right, there should be a option there somewhere to just sign out. Or at the very least, right click your machine and remove it.
