Argos -_-

Just a word of warning for anyone wanting to order from Argos whether it be a game or anything else. I've had a terrible experience using argos when I pre-ordered Saints Row 4. I still haven't received the game even though it was released friday and I have also been lied to about it being dispatched friday, which if it had, I should have received it by now. So I personally will never be using Argos again for anything, especially games and will be advising any one I know wishing to order there to go elsewhere even if it means paying a little more because the service I have received is appalling and the fact that it still hasn't been delivered is shocking, I will be getting the game refunded and they will not be getting another penny of mine.

Rant over.

I know it isn't all the time, and every seller, but this is why I just use Steam :) It is so annoying (and always has been, when we didn't really have a choice) to not receive a game or film on day of release just because you ordered it online.

No amount of savings will convince me otherwise ('sonly money innit) :D

Hope you get it sorted Wozz and are able to get SR4 elsewhere, because, well, its awesome :D

The next day wouldn't have bothered me, I can understand that as many companies don't get them until the day of release.

I think from now on though I will just use download services. I've already cancelled my NFS order with them and pre-ordered through Origin instead (however crappy origin is, its not as bad as Argos)

I think ill just download it now as ill be sending it back anyway

Haha, exactly! Just bought it on steam, £15 more but I don't want argos getting a penny of mine. Should be downloaded in an hour or so

I've never had a problem getting stuff delivered from Argos to be honest. Bought an iPod Touch last Thursday for my daughter's birthday and it turned up on Friday.

I realise this might not be a brilliant suggestion for you but the reserve and collect button is pretty useful, they have 10 stores with 13.43 miles of where I live..
I used it to reserve a Fireman Sam fire engine today :)

Nah, after such a terrible experience, I will not be using them again. On another note, Saints Row IV is brilliant and possibly the funniest game I've ever played

+1 It feels like a DLC and not a full game which does annoy me but its still fun. Just nothing like Saints Row. I mean forget about gangs and cars and buying up stores . Just consider it a silly smash everything in the face game with the same characters in. But omg the melee weapon from the season pass. LOL.

I bought the season pass but i dont think i have that weapon yet. I am not far into the game though. It is sort of like a DLC but I still love it, played 50+hrs on Saints Row 3 and I think I can do similar for this. Love the pitch changer for the voice, its made everything 10x funnier for me, little things can make a huge difference

Id recommend http://www.shopto.net/, always get my pre-orders early whether it be by 2 weeks or 1 day, free next day delivery and rather competitive prices.

Yeah, on the few occasions I have preordered games I found shop.net to be really good. Never had a game arrive to me after the release date.

Amazon is also good because of the price guarantee - you pay the lowest price they advertise the product at.

Just to add to the problem, the game still has not arrived!

I used to use Amazon for pre-orders but they tended to deliver them the day after (which I'm not too fussed about). I only ordered from Argos because it was £15 cheaper and thought a company that big can't go this wrong right?

I think I'll just pre-order games I really want digitally now and wait for the others in the sales.

I still prefer to buy things from a shop if possible (including Argos) to avoid things like delays, or bad delivery companies, or missing the post. Much easier for me to pick up the new Nexus 7 from John Lewis on Wednesday, rather than ordering it online.

Well another update. Parcel still hasn't arrived in the post today. Leading me to think that either its been stolen during delivery or it still hasn't been dispatched and the way Argos have been treating me it wouldn't surprise me if it hasn't been dispatched still
