Asus P5Q

I want to upgrade my ram as the final update to my system before it retires for good.

I can't find my board, a standard Asus P5Q on the asus site to check the memory limitations.

I think it can support up to 16GIG of DDR2 @ 1200.

I will probably need 4 gig of this dual channel.

Do PCS sell this speed ram?

Edit, having a really hard time finding this ram any where.

Hi Matt,

The only DDR2 RAM we sell is the Corsair XMS2 800MHz. If you want something a bit faster, why not have a look at the Corsair Dominator?

I can't remember off the top of my head but the P5Q will have a default speed of 800MHz or 1066Mhz so to reach 1200Mhz you will most likely need to OC the RAM.

Thanks Paul. I could have sworn when i posted this the P5Q board was not on the asus site.

Gonna wait and see how my Q9550 runs with my Corsair xms 800 first i think before deciding to upgrade.
