Attaching Temp Probes

I've a pretty simple question but 1 I can't seem to figure out myself because I'm just that damn awesome.

I've bought a Lamptron FC Touch which has a few temp probes that need sticking to the inside. As far as I'm aware I need some special magical tape. Is that right? I've found some akasa thermal adhesive but I don't know if that's the same stuff and will work.

Also if anyone has advice on where to attach the temp probes that would be appreciated.

Thanks boys and girls.

Uh, I don't know what you're referring o or what 'special' thing you would need. However I would highly recommend using the onboard temp sensors as they will be far more accurate than one placed on the side of the case.

Are these probes connected to a fan controller? If so does the instructions not advise the best place for them to be placed?

erm kinda off topic, but hows the push pull working? and chance of pics? for some nice rep? lol

Yea the probes are with the fan controller. The probes can go any where really I was just wondering if anyone had any where specific the should go. I just don't know what to use to attach them.

The push/pull is going good. Although I didn't realise it would block a fan vent. It's nothing major though because I've ordered a new windowed side that only has the 1 space. This is for a cm690ii by the way. I'll sort some pics out for sure though.

hmm im not really sure what ya could use, nor where the best place for them could be. cable ties maybe?

Did ya find with the push/pull temps are alot better than before?

Mines push/pull's lush but i wanna do more with my rig lol, got a spare 140mm fan that i wanna mod somewhere but got nowhere to put it!

place it where there isnt fan blowing. depending how many temp probes you have. you could leave them near areas that spill out heat or near the fans blowing direction.

any tape can be used. nothing special, its just tape to hold them in place or u can just use non conductive tape, tbh i just use simple magic tape, works just like any other way. if not blue tac works aswell lol :)

Idle temps are about the same. But under load it knocked off about 5degrees. I'm currently messing around with fan configs. Trying to get the best airflow.

I don't think any 1 mod or config or fan will make a ton of difference. But every little helps.

I set my cpu fans to intelliegent, they keep for spu about 37 degrees, spinning at about 800rpm unless heavy gaming, then i might pop the cpu fans to turbo for slightly better cooling.
