Awaiting dispatch

I recently ordered my laptop (it was after the Christmas cut-off, so I knew I wouldn't get it by the 25th). I watched it go through all the different phases of assembly - I was emailed about build completion, quality control etc.; however, it seems to have stopped progressing. I emailed the enquiries address and was told that I would likely receive it the 28th - it is now the 28th and it still hasn't been dispatched... I realize that PCS aren't working through Christmas/Newyear, but 3rd/4th January is aaaages away.

From a rather impatient and ungrateful customer.

I would assume the date provided was an estimate since they cannot guarantee a specific delivery day as far as I know. Best thing would be to try to contact them again for an update.

As Keynes has said PCS will only have provided an estimated date as I would imagine they cant guarantee any specific dates. However, if they did say the 28th it is probably worth getting back in touch with them. I have just checked the call waiting times http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/call-waiting/ and the phone lines are open.

I'd say your best bet would be to give them a ring and find out if there was any delay or whether it is ready to be delivered :) Once its despatched it should not take long to get to you (usually one day I believe).

Is anyone else having this problem? Because I'm assuming there must just be a long backlog.
Well, if it goes out on Monday then it's running two days later than the estimate, so although it's slightly longer than they reckoned, its not that much later than the estimate :)

What stage is it currently in? Awaiting dispatch (and has it been at that stage for a while), its possibly that there has been so much stuff being dispatched (by PCS and DPD's other clients) that they just couldn't get it actually dispatched - though contacting PCS will get the an actual answer rather than my speculations (though given its now 1pm on a Saturday, teh phone lines are probably now closed til Monday morning anyways)
