Backlight Bleed/IPS glow question

Whilst playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare and MW2 remaster last night, I noticed some backlight bleed so I went to do a test with a black background and it was as bad as I thought it looked. That is the first image. The images which follow are me testing again today. It seems to have almost dissapeared etc. Can backlight bleed just disapear? Should I keep PCSpecilist updated? The laptop is the Vyper.

Apart from what I noticed, everything else about the laptop is top notch, just the backlight bleed last night was very noticeable.

Hoping someone can help clarify the whole backlight bleed and IPS problem here. I've had backlight bleed in the past with a monitor so I know it usually doesn't just go away.

It's unlikely to have disappeared - backlight bleed is just far more noticeable in the dark. So those daytime shots won't show it up much if at all. The higher you have the brightness of your display the more noticeable it'll be as well.

It's worth bearing in mind that photos generally make backlight bleed look worse and most panels are afflicted by it to some extent - it's just the nature of LCD displays unfortunately.

I'd suggest either playing a game or watching a film at night with no lights on so see whether it's noticeable during actual use. Something dark like The Dark Knight would be ideal because you'll be able to judge it against the black backgrounds to see whether it's distracting or not.
