Bioshock infinite opinions

Just completed this. Took me months doing it a bit at a time.

Didn't like it at all in the end. The gameplay was boring and the story was only told at the beginning and at the end. And I didn't really like the story either. And I had to read a long explanation (via Google) to make sense of the ending.

Totally overrated in my opinion, although the graphics are nice (artistically) and it is really well optimised. Although I did have to spend 25 min escaping from the floor after a experiencing a nasty bug that couldn't be sorted by restarting at a previous checkpoint.

I know it's quite popular, so what did you think?

I thought the story was great. The gameplay was a bit boring though.

Graphically pleasing, gameplay of a dying baboon though and a meh story. One game too far in the series - only my opinion though,

Actually preferred it over 1 and 2*. I liked the story...until the end (I liked "me" too much to think I would do any of that).

Bit different from others in the genre I thought.

(Haven't played 1 since release and never actually installed 2)

I don't think it had the impact of the first two Bioshocks, but I thought it was good. Not great, but a satisfying gaming experience.

I quite enjoyed it, although I didn't think the ending was great. The fact that I needed to look on a website to try and understand the ending says it all really.

I really enjoyed it, thought it was the best of the series, if your finding it boring though perhaps your playing games on too easy a setting, i play everything on the hardest possible settings, on easier settings its like walking into a battlefield with GOD mode on and i find that extremely boring. Same games are an awesome challenge on high difficulty settings.

I liked it a lot, I had more of a problem with the story-continuation DLC than with Bioshock infinite itself (it felt like they just wanted to hurry up and end the series, seemed really rushed). Overall I personally rate it quite highly, but that is probably obsessional bias on my part. The story and gameplay did disappoint me in a few ways, namely because the changes they made when they put the release date further back, I watched some of the earlier videos pre-release and it sort of feels like we've missed out on some things that were going to be in the game (a small example would be dropping telekinesis, although they did replace it with Return to Sender--a better example would be the changes they made to Elizabeth).
