Brightness on Optimus V 15.6"

My lap is Optimus V 15.6" which, i guess, has been removed from store even though I just bought it in December. It always automatically adjusts brightness level according to background color. is there anyway to turn it off ? Thank you very much in advance
Is this on battery or plugged in?

It is always plugged. And as i checked using your link, all are set OFF
