Can Octane V 17.3 be user-upgraded for RAM and Disk Storage?

Would I be able to add / replace memory and hard drives/SSDs in future. (I do know that PCS do an upgrade service)

My current laptop has a panel underneath that comes off with just two screws, and that gives access to the memory modules and to the two disk slots. I've been able to extend its life by upgrading it. I doubled the memory, swapped the boot drive to SSD and the second drive to double the capacity with ease. It is 6 and now beginning to show its age in ways I cannot fix.

Would the Octane be able to upgrade that easily or is it a phone call to PCS to see what is involved? Does anyone have photos or diagrams they could share please?

If you ask PCS (once you've bought it of course) they may well make the servicing manual available to you. They will certainly provide advice on where the RAM slots are (there are four on that chassis with a max RAM of 64GB) and how to open the case up.

As far as hard drives go, there are two 9.5mm 2.5" SATA slots in that chassis and two M.2 (2280) SSD ports as well. Again, PCS will help in accessing these and/or provide the service manual.

If you're not comfortable upgrading the RAM/HDD/SSD then PCS will certainly do it for you, though there may be a charge. Your warranty will allow you to upgrade these yourself as long as you don't damage anything.

The detailed specs for that laptop (in fact all laptops) can be found by clicking the 'Detailed Specification' link at the top right of the configurator page.
