Cant boot into windows??

Hi last night i installed the latest nvidia drivers and five windows updates, not sure what updates they was though. I shut the P.C down rebooted Now i cant get in to windows, it just loads on the welcome screen. After a few minutes it goes to a black screen and my mouse cursor, How can i fix this?

Hi, You'll need to roll back to a previous restore point. To do this go into safe mode by hitting F8 repeatedly before the windows boot screen comes up. Windows should load (slowly) with minimum settings. Don't worry if the graphics look strange. Once windows has started in safe mode it should ask you if you want to restore to an earlier date so pick one before you installed the drivers. Then just follow the instructions.
If for some reason Windows doesn't ask you to restore then click start -> control panel -> system and security -> action centre and restore from there.

Hi thanks for the reply i did actually try to go into safe mode but it just goes to the safe mode screen where it says safe mode in each corner of the screen but there's not task bar so i can't change any setting's etc.

Hmmmm. Looks like you may have to repair or re-install windows - you'll need the windows disk that came with the PC. It's early yet so perhaps hang around and see if anyone else comes up with a better solution.

One other thing you could try is to go into safe mode with command prompt and then type rstrui - this is the actual system restore console program.

Thanks for ya help mate i managed to fix it by going in safe mode i hit ctrl alt del ran "msconfig" and system restored from there. So i'm all good now :D
