Case on carpet

Hi all just a quick question if I buy a computer is it ok to put the case on a floor which is carpeted

There will be space either side of the case for airflow just wasn't sureif your would damage the case due to heat etc if it was on carpet

It should be ok but it's better to use a stand to lift the PC a little to help prevent dust build up,something like one of these.

Depend son the case.
I got the HAF X Full tower and it came with wheels, I put the wheels on to give it a bit of lift and it sits on my carpet with no issues.

As Vanthus says, it will be ok, however, from personal experience it does mean you get a lot more dust drawn into the case, means you have to de-dust a lot more often if you want to keep it dust-free - and keeping it dust-free will help in the long run.
