Second edit - Seemed to be solved for a while but same problem came right back. Black screen, no audio + total freeze when gaming. At this point I'm convinced the CPU/PSU/RAM/mixture of all three are defective. I'll just RMA it again.

Spent some time on the phone with tech support, talked me through re-seating the GPU and the RAM. Seems fine now, so either the GPU had wriggled itself loose in transit or the RAM had. Or the RAM in slot 2 wanted to be in slot 4 and vice versa.

10/10 for the tech dude that helped me. Howard I think his name was. Or Howell. Howie?

Something that started with H anyway.

It occured to me that the monitor could be the culprit (it's new, 1440p monitor I've linked here before) so I tested two older 1080p monitors on the computer and they both have the same issue, except with these two it's a green screen crash/freeze instead of a black screen crash/freeze. No information on the screen, just a solid green screen with the computer totally frozen.
