Current best graphics card for a gaming laptop?

I was just wondering what is the best/most powerful graphics card out there at the moment for laptops?

Assuming you have unlimited pots of cash, there are laptops out there that have desktop class GTX 980 GPUs in SLI. Also the one review of the one laptop I have seen with that showed only an ~18% performance increase overall from a single 980, probably because it was using a mobile CPU rather than a full desktop one and therefore got CPU bound, not to mention possible sli scaling issues.

While the 980M SLI offers more performance, you are at the mercy of SLI and not all games may behave as well with it.

If you do have a lot of money to drop on a gaming laptop you may want to wait a few weeks and see if any more info comes out about when the new desktop Pascal cards are coming to laptops. Pascal has much better performance per W and so could be significantly more powerful.
