ethernet connection

Hi all, just got my PC, got it all set up with wifi connection but when i try to use my Ethernet cable, it keeps going to no internet then to not connected and back again.

Why is this?

I have tested the connection on my laptop and it works perfectly, so why would it not with my PC?

I've tried to use the windows diagnostics but it keeps coming up that the cable isn't connected or damaged.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, so what do you mean by this? Are you using wifi or ethernet?

Have you run all wiindows updates?

Have you checked device manager isnt showing any missing devices / drivers?

Have you completed ALL windows updates

ran all updates, i have got it connected to WIFI at this time, but when i turn it off and connect the ethernet cable it goes from no internet to not connected in like 1 second and keeps doing it

only have a connection to the motherboard it looks like, no other ethernet slots

looks good to me, not seeing any issues other than the ethernet connection

Think I found the issue, when i press the connector in it does not go click, which i think makes it so it doesnt connnect properly

There's your clue. Try another cable. That should have near the top of your troubleshooting list.
