Because theyre not for that purpose, there is a like button and a g+ button on the home page, those btutons are for taking you to the twitter feedand the facebook page.

yeh but i thought google+ had something similar, ie a wall or whatever, i dont really know havent used it, facebook is only useful as i can send messages to friends whenever i need to

Meh, I think they are a bit pointless, it's fast enough accessing it through the web, smart phones have them too which arn't too bad. It would suck if Facebook (or Twitter for that matter) turned out like Myspace or Bebo, then you are left with a completely pointless button.

Umm what lol. the links are there to link specifically to the facebook page and twitter page, mainly for people that doesnt know it exists or dont have it bookmarked.

If it becomes like bebo they just remove it? lol why would it have to be a permanent thing?
