First Ever Gaming PC

How does this look, I posted on Reddit in R/BuildaPCForMe as I have no experience in this matter, I tried to match what the person replied with as best I could with what was available. I mostly play the bigger titles on console, GTA, Red Dead, Call of Duty, God of War, Helldivers, that sort of thing. Mostly single player with some multiplayer in there. My budget is around £1800 and I plan to play on my living room TV, a 65" 4k Sony.

Are these parts all compatible and am I getting my money's worth? Thanks

I would not buy this PC.

My concerns are:
  • Case/motherboard: do you need ITX/small form factor? It significantly reduces your upgrade potential, limits parts and availability, and normally results in poorer cooling and therefore restricted performance. If it's to go on a TV console, that makes sense, but just be aware you're limiting yourself.
  • Graphics card: the 5070 Ti is a very high-end graphics card but also very expensive. What precise TV will you be using? Model number or refresh rate are the key information. With the graphics card, you can get better value for money.
  • Power supply: that 750W model is not a good quality model. I'd never cheap out on a power supply.
  • Cooling: that cooler is really not powerful. The 7700 is efficient, but I still doubt that cooler would be enough.
  • Windows: do you have an old PC you're replacing? You could save £100 on the licence.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

What Motherboard would you recommend?

The TV is a Sony XH90 model which supports up to 120hz. What graphics card would you go for?

Again power supply and cooler, what would you're recommendations be? Sorry for all the questions I'm just completely new to the gaming pc world.

I have an everyday laptop I use, would that be fine for the windows licence?

Any help Is appreciated

Transferring Windows from the laptop should be possible, though it tends to be harder than custom-built machines.

But the key decision is whether you need the small form factor case? That'll be very limiting in terms of options...
