Hi all,
I received a flash drive from pcspecialist to update my BIOS, simple you say! Hell no. I've followed the instruction, turn the laptop off, insert flash drive, press F7 frantically whilst the laptop starts to get to the device boot selection screen. I select the flash drive and ... nothing... black screen then the laptop starts windows normally. So i figured something was wrong with the flash drive. I downloaded the files from the download section, prepared a new 8GB flash drive I had, used Win32Disklmager to create a bootable USb stick with the bios flash ISO (that I decompressed as per the instructions).
Again same issue, I press F7, select the flash drive, and again I get a black screen and windows loads as per normal.
Apparently flashing the bios solves the problem of driver power state failures, so it's a vital update for my precious laptop.
Has anyone got any clue on how I could update/flash my bios?
