Received my new laptop about 10 ten days and I must say what a delight the system is.

Specs:
Processor - Intel® Core™i7 Dual Core Processor i7-4510U (2.00GHz, 3.1GHz Turbo)
RAM - 16GB KINGSTON SODIMM DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics card - INTEL® HD GRAPHICS MEDIA ACCELERATOR 4400
Hard drive - 500GB SERIAL ATA II 2.5" HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (5,400rpm)

Delivery -
Laptop arrived after a little over a weeks time from creating the order

Initial thoughts -
Loved the look of the laptop, brushed aluminium was something very needed as my old laptop was made from plastic, an it was piano black which meant it was covered in fingerprints, but with this laptop, as I am typing this review now there isn't a single fingerprint(apart from the screen which is touchscreen)

Screen -
Little disappointed that the screen isn't full HD, but aside from that it's a great screen with a decent aspect ratio in my opinion and it fits fine with the tasks that I use it for e.g. programming, word processing, Youtube.
The major downside is that the screen is SUPER glossy, I mean you can use it as a mirror if you wanted to. Fortunately I ordered a screen protector from Amazon for a fiver (http://goo.gl/5EqQDK) and it works really well for this laptop
The screen protector fits perfectly over the 14 inch screen, and when applied, I can use the laptop without having to look at myself at the same time aswell.
Colour was extremely bright and washed out when I first received the laptop, had to adjust the contrast and gamma

Performance -
I opted for the 16GB ram because I do sometimes do Photoshop and video editing in After Effects and have about 15 tabs open with word and although I have not had the chance to test it out to that extent, so far it has not failed to impress. Only downside about my build is that I thought I'd be fine without an SSD, but after reading about other users experiences, I am tempted to purchase one.

Battery-
Battery lasts for about a day of good use of a few programming IDE's YouTube videos and Word processing.

Pros-
Amazing speed and performance of the CPU and RAM, couldve gotten a lot better if I opted for an SSD.
Screen is great once configured correctly.
Touchpad takes some getting used to due to it being brushed aluminium, but is really good especially with the left and right clicks being their own individual buttons.

Cons-
Speakers are at the bottom of the laptop, therefore sound can be muffled when using laptop on your lap for example, but when used on a flat surface they sound great.
Touchpad does not feature multi-touch gestures(as far as I'm aware), even after installing the relevant Synaptic drivers, atleast the screen is touchscreen.
Little heavy for an ultrabook, its roughly the same size as a Macbook Pro, but it's a lot better than my old HP dv6 which weighs 3kg, this weighs 2kg.
Could also do with the 1080p screen which Clevo themselves provide when purchasing this laptop from them, not sure why PC Specialist only allow the option for one screen type.

Overall
Great laptop for users who are always on the move and for students to use when in uni or college. Highly recommend if you can get used to the super high glare this screen gives off

If you guys have any other questions about the laptop then please let me know.

How solid is this laptop? Does the construction look like it'll withstand bumps and general movement inside a bag?

How portable is it? Does it make your bag unecessarily heavy?
