Good earphones for music?

Hi guys, after getting my new headset I realised just how poor my earphones are..
Could anybody recommend some good in ear headphones that will plug into an iPhone. I am considering beats but am a bit concerned that I would be paying the premium for the brand name?
Cheaper is nice, but on the other hand I don't want to spend say £50 and be disappointed when for another £30 I could have been really happy.
I realise that most of this comes down to preference but obviously you can't try them in the shops.
If it's relevant I mostly listen to EDM and whatever genre that bands like linkin park and nickelback fall under.

Specifically intraaural or would actual headphones suit? Also I would not recommend beats.

I am using the sennheiser amperior headphone since January, best headphones I have ever bought.

It is pretty robust and comes with a detachable smart remote compatible with iPhones.

Amperiors, eh? They're great if a bit pricey. For that money you could buy a set of Beyerdynamic T50P's, which are simply sublime. Probably better than the Amperiors, and that isn't easy.

I have a pair of these on an I Pod and there pretty awsome for the money, if fact any Sennheiser phones will be good
