GSync flicker

ive been having some strange flicker with my laptop screen. I preordered the recoil 18.

At times ive noticed some strange grey flicker in games at certain angles of camera or sometimes they can happen at random. I already have had an rma for this issue and the issue still persists.

Its also quite difficult to capture as software cant see it, so i have to use my phone.

It only ever seems to happen when i have gsync enabled in control centre if nvidia

im wondering if anyone has these sort of issues and if they have managed to solve them, its really confusing as times higher or lower frame rates seem to make it better or worse. Its really distracting.

This suggests it’s a physical display issue rather than in windows

Can you tell us what your RMA reason was and what the report found? As detailed as possible
It was for BSOD, screen flicker and some strange rainbow affects that were appearing on the screen. The effects reminded me of how analogue TVs used behave, with the moving patterns, except the colours were colourful.

Apparently my motherboard had developed a fault, was also told that some batches of motherboards had some issues and the one I had were one of them. They replaced the motherboard with a new one.

I also had an email today from support regarding the screen flicker. I was told that LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) can cause GSync flicker, relating to brightness, etc and advised me to disable it to see if that helped the issue. Ugh.
