HD 7950 vs GTX 570 vs GTX 580 Which would you prefer for your "£"?

How do you rate the following graphics cards?
GTX570
HD7950
GTX580

I was originally buying the 570, but as I am spending £1300 on a machine, that would be the bottleneck for gaming, I therefore UPed my choice to the 580, but this is quite expensive. I was advised to go for the HD7950, which competes with the 580 to a certain degree (I know people's opinions differ to how much), and is roughly £80 cheaper.

If i was buying now, then i'd opt for a 7950 and a gen 3 mobo (7000 series uses pci 3.0,but will work on pci 2.0)

Get a decent 650 or 750w psu for future crossfire. Even better would be a 750w MOD psu, such as the hx750 corsair.

edit - looked into the pci 2.0, and the card works exactly the same on pci 2.0 as 3.0!

7950 here too. Cracking card, and it's AMD

Like Tom said, get a good PSU so later down the line you can crossfire it

Will beast through your games

HD7950 no doubt, it's the best of the bunch there.

I would stick with the older GTX580 if it is within budget as on some games it still outperforms AMD's new cards on the resolution most people play at 1920x1080 and on skyrim even the GTX560TI 448core and the GTX570 outperforms the HD7950 they even beat the HD7970 but on some other games the AMD's are better it's just the way things go with them.
