Hello guys, quick check before taking the plunge, £1300 gaming laptop

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated!

I'm looking to buy a new laptop :). I watch a lot of movies/tv on my current laptop, so a good screen and speakers are very very important to me. I'd prefer a 17" but would definitely consider a 15". I want it to perform well 3-4 years down the line, a back lit keyboard would be preferable, I don't use a lot of heavy software such as video editing, but I do want it to be lightning fast under general use. I'd prefer a well built, sturdy chassis and sacrifice thinness/weight.

I need advice with some of the technical bits. I want to be able to play the latest games on at least a 'High' setting, and hopefully in a year or two time wont be finding that the laptop has already started to struggle. I've kinda figured that the best GPU in terms of cost to performance would be the 970m? Advice here would be good, i.e, would the 860m be good enough for my needs, could it play games in 'High' for the next couple of years?

In terms of the CPU I've opted for the i7-4710MQ (2.50GHz), the i7-4810MQ (2.80Ghz) costs £78 more. Browsing the forums it seems the majority of people go for the 4710MQ (2.50GHz) option. In terms of trying to extend the longevity of my laptop would it be worth paying for the more advanced chip, would there be any real noticeable difference in performance to justify the price?

I've opted for a 240gb SSD to install the OS on, is there any benefit to using a mSATA drive to do this? Will I notice a difference with a 7200rpm drive for storage? It's £15 to upgrade to the best Intel wireless card, does that seem worth it?

£3 more for the "hyper" RAM (help me here lol)

A lot of questions I know (apologies), but I have been trying to research this as much as I can. I've been playing with the configurator the past few nights. Each time my budget seems to increase and my builds seem to get more and more expensive haha! I've reached my limit now I feel and would like to stick around £1300 mark

Here's what I've come up with anyway, is there anything that looks unneccesary/overkill, or oppositely could I see a major improvement for just a small price to pay? Also are other chassis's more suited to my needs? Again - Any advice/help is greatly greatly appreciated!

The i7-4710mq will be fine, upgrading to the i7-4810mq won't provide any noticeable improvements for gaming. Regarding ram either will be fine, again no noticeable difference between those 2. I wouldn't get the gtx 860m especially if you want it to last at least for 2 years for gaming at high settings. The SSD you have chosen suffers from performance issues so you may wish to change it to the samsung or kingston hyper instead. Benefits of an mSATA drive is that you have the option of adding another hard drive. Not sure but I think you should be able to get the GTX 980m for around £1300 by dropping the SSD and doing other changes, haven't checked prices lately though
