So.... I'm a fairly hardcore gamer playing everything from League of Legends, to Skyrim, Fallout, etc. I'm likely to play brand new games coming out, but I know next to nothing about computers
I have a budget of ~£1100 but I'd much rather keep it under 1000, or even cheaper if possible (but with accessories unlikely). Its flexible, but only for necessary things.
The most important thing for me with this PC is longevity, I want it to last, and will happily spend extra bucks for liquid cooling, or anything else to preserve the computer. I am completely unbothered by the noise the computer makes. I'd like a fairly good graphics card, and as good a processor as I can get for my buck - the computer better be fast. I understand a solid state hard drive would improve the computer dramatically, and would be willing to pay for it.
It MUST run on windows 7.
It must include a GOOD 22" gaming monitor (willing to put 150 into monitor), a 2.0 excellent speaker system (use it for music a LOT but am in a confined desk space - tower size doesn't matter), a good sound card, and a gaming mouse+keyboard (nothing too fancy, £30 will do). I need a new headset for ~£45 as well.
I've calculated these accessories (with a spare HDMI cable) to come up to £239
Monitor: ASUS VE228HR 21.5" LED DISPLAY
Speakers: Creative GigaWorks T20 Speakers
Headset: Creative HS-800 Fatal1ty Headset
Mouse+keyboard: CM Storm Devastator Keyboard and Mouse
+HDMI cable.
I am not really willing to spend LESS on these (unless I'm wasting money dramatically) but if a drastic improvement or adjustment could be made let me know.
So that leaves approximately £900 for the tower.
I've looked at both AMD and Intel systems but am unsure of the performance differences, I've looked at Nvidia vs AMD graphics cards, but again, am unsure of the difference. I am unsure on overclocking as I stated longevity is a MUST. Would like at least 8gb ram, and was using a 120 solid state HD with a 1TB secondary hard drive. (I store about 350g of music alone).
I'd like a case with a side panel window, and some cool blue LEDS cos I'm sad like that!
Other than that I am completely flexible. As you can see I'm a material girl, I like things to LOOK good, and I know my accessories, but its the hardware inside I'm unsure of, all advice welcome - though really I just want someone to build me a computer for a GOOD price with the accessories I want.
Just an idea of general useage: I tend to run 6-8 tabs on one monitor including OBS (streaming software) whilst maintaining LoL in top specs on the other monitor, I'll also (usually) be running itunes (350gb music), screen recording software (recording and rewatching games), teamspeak3, and occasionally viewing (listening) to a stream at the same time. I also use my computer/laptop for watching streams in 1080p, and also use it as my home entertainment system, running blu-rays and music through my home sound system (speakers required for when the computer is in use in my room, as opposed to wired into the sound system downstairs). Occasionally I will do a small amount of video editing, but is fairly softcore, usually only applying overlays/removing bugs from recorded streams. Nothing major, my £600 laptop manages everything I do in video editing so far.
Currently I'm achieving the above by using 3 seperate laptops (often 2-3 at the same time). Obviously this is infuriating, takes up way too much space on a desk, and often can't manage the tasks anyway, so I'm investing in the desktop (finally).
As I said before I budget is ~1100. Maximum of about 1200 but don't really want to go that high, ideally I'd spend 1000 or less, but I will spend extra if it makes a HUGE difference. I'm no perfectionist, but I love things to look great, feel fast, and most IMPORTANTLY sound good!
Thanks in advance,
Elena!
EDIT: MUST include wireless internet card or whatever it takes to connect to wi-fi, router is downstairs!
EDIT 2: I am likely to dual monitor with a standard 22" HDMI monitor that I already own - don't konw if that makes a difference :3
