Hello,

I'm Josh.

I joined this forum looking for help on PC gaming in all aspects I guess.

Recently I have became so fed up with console gaming, growing up all I played was FPS competitively and it's finally hit me that my days are over. Any how I have always liked the look on playing games on PC for graphics, add-ons & mods. I'm a PC gaming newbie so the only games I could really say I have played are Runescape & WoW.. Pathetic I know

I'm currently in the process of saving up for a gaming PC and I haven't a clue about what parts mean or what parts are good and so on. I'll just try to say what I'm looking for as it may help anyone who answers me. The games I would like to play are basically open-world games, like Skyrim or Far Cry, I love those kind of games now and role-playing. I still like my shooters but I tend to have drifted to games where you start in a world/realm as a newbie and you make your way up the game getting better equipment should I say. Anyone who I talk to who is already a PC gamer says you'll find that you'll play a wide variety of games on a PC as there is such a variety so I guess I want to build something capable of playing variety games. I don't really have a budget but I can say I'm not looking to spend more than £1000 I guess if I can do that.

I feel like what I have put so far is gibberish and doesn't make sense?:D I just need someone to maybe link me to a few PC's that would suit me if possible. I'm really trying to get my mind into all the parts and learning which is best.

Thank you for your time! :D

Hi and welcome to the forums :)
£1000 should get you a pretty good gaming rig,but how good will depend if that includes peripherals such as monitor mouse and keyboard for example.
Also you say you are currently in the process of saving up for a gaming PC, it might be better to wait until you have your budget before any specs are suggested as some components may not be on offer by the time you're ready to buy.

Hi there. My gaming rig cost me 1200, but then i dont play games anymore :)

Its over a year old now. Intel i5 3750K, Nvidia 680 GTX, 32GB ram, SSD etc. Performs well still.

Welcome to the PC community :)
We are a happy bunch, more so than the console crowd I think you will find.
