Icue Fans Going Crazy

Hi
I have received my new PC build (spec below) and for the first day it was running just fine.
Today, however, the side fans are going absolutely crazy. I have attached images showing iCue displaying my "sensor 3" on my GPU is 255 degrees. I have also attached one showing the fan speeds.
I know the sensor 3 issue is a known issue as the 5090 does not have a sensor 3.
But how can I make the machine usable ? Currently it sounds like a jet engine.
I reinstalled the iCue software but it's still the same.
Please can someone suggest something ?

Have you replaced the side fans with Corsair ones, or are they still the included LianLi ones?

If they're the original LialLi ones, then you may have to control them via motherboard (Gigabyte) or LianLi software rather than iCUE (which is only really for Corsair products).

Hi Tony
Thank you for the extremely quick reply. You're right - the fans are almost certainly the LiaLi ones. I had not thought of that. I'll gird my loins for the noise and see what I can do via the Gigabyte software.
Do you have any thoughts around why they would have been fine for a day up until lunchtime and then suddenly after I popped out for lunch, I turned the machine on and the jet engines started ?
Thanks,
Ben

I've not used LianLi or Gigabyte products, so can't be sure, but it could simply be a component not loading properly...or the fan profile being too aggressive so ramps up too quickly.

You might be able to set the fans to a static speed (say 50% of their max) to ensure enough airflow without much noise.

Even the default iCUE fan profiles can be a bit aggressive as it's almost as if they're programmed for the hotter Ryzen 5000/7000-series and need to be customised for the cooler Ryzen 9000 CPUs - although the 9950X3D is probably quite a warm CPU anyway...but the AIO will keep that well under control, so it's more ensuring there's a balanced airflow in & out to not strangle the airflow, or pressurise it too much that there's not enough time for the rad to transfer the heat to the outgoing air.
