This is my third laptop from PC Specialist and it didn't disappoint.
I went for an Office laptop, which will be used for A-Level grade and general day-to-day work.
I did my usual research in finding the cheapest option and I find myself returning to PC Specialist, not just because the competitive prices, but due to being able customise the device to some degree.
It's virtually impossible to find the kind of spec I'm after without paying considerably more elsewhere.
The laptop itself is nice and slim, but feels solid in the hand, and the 16" widescreen display is a huge improvement to my previous laptops.
It's very crisp and all applications look very sharp and bright.
The backlit keyboard feels nice to type on.
I installed Windows 11 from scratch, and PC Specialist made it very easy for me to download all the drivers (go to Tech Support and choose Download) for the chipset, sound and display. I was up and running within an hour.
Although I opted for a cheaper processor to save money, the i5 instead of the i7, I haven't noticed any delays when using the laptop, so I'm happy with my choice.
I had several applications open, including two different browsers with a few tabs each, and the laptop felt responsive to all my actions.
Videos play smoothly without lag or jitter.
I guess this helped by choosing 32GB of RAM and a SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2 SDD, which is blazingly fast.
Although it's early days, I can't fault this laptop, especially for the price.
No doubt I'll be returning to PC Specialist next time I'm after another laptop/PC.
