Intel Identifies Chipset Design Error

Hi,

I has ordered this set on 14th Jan and after 14 working day, I receive a mail stating Intel Identifies Chipset Design Error.

I could discuss it over the phone as well but I though I will get better clarity if I discuss it in forum first. I know we get a very quick response in forum :).

For my order, they are saying that port 2,3,4,5 will be affected with this Chipset fault. Does this mean, I will have two working port?

And they are suggesting that they can install (free of charge) a 2 port SATA 3GB/s PCI/PCI-E card which you can use to connect your optical drives and/or hard drives to. The only downside to this is the loss of a free PCI/PCI-E slot.

Is that mean after this installation, I will have a total of 4 port? If yes, one will go for HDD, 1 for DVD and I will have the room for just 2 more HDD or CD/DVD.

Is there any other way to add more ports in future? Also, what else I could use with this free PCI/PCI-E slot (if I hadn't gone for this installation)?

Is there any chance that there would be some more problem in the chipset, as it seems to be pretty new?

Thanks
