kernel_data_inpage_error Vortex lll - Windows 8

I've been getting this error (requiring a reboot) after every startup for the last few days on my brand new Vortex lll.

A quick Google indicates that this may be an SSD issue.

I downloaded and installed Intel's Toolbox tool. I ran the Quick Diagnostic Scan and there were no problems.

Any thoughts on how I might fix the problem?

From what I've read it could potentially be solved by updating the SSD's firmware and reinstalling windows 8, obviously this is a pain in the hoop though so someone else may have a better solution!

Apologies for the delay in replying.

I don't want to get into a fresh install. So, I downloaded Intel's SSD Toolbox Kit and installed it. I installed Version 3.1.2 from here> http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455

The fault is now intermittent and, apart from that, the laptop is running fine.

The only thing I noticed in the Toolbox options is under the item System Tuner, the item called ReadyBoost (what's that?) is marked under the heading Status, "Service Not Found". Next to this it says, "No action required - ReadyBoost is a recommended feature in Windows 7 and Windows 8."

If it's "Not Found", why is "No action required"? And what is ReadyBoost anyway?

Ps. The Toolbox is a neat feature. Worth downloading, methinks.

Update:

This problem is still intermittent.

However, I have noticed one thing that may help in solving it:

During boot up, if it says 'F2 Setup' in the bottom left corner of the black screen, it will start fine.

But, if it says 'Resume from hibernation', then I will get the Kernel Error message and it will restart automatically.

Try running scandisk It checks and repairs file system errors , this is different from the manufacturers Diagnostic Scan.
Scandisk checks for errors, but does not write to data cells so is safe to use on SSDs. However, Scandisk can only check data integrity. Hardware testing is always best done with the manufacturer's diagnostic utility,which you have already done.

Did a Chkdsk from Command Prompt/Admin (alarming how fast this machine is - took less than 2 minutes)

No idea if any error found. Booted up as normal at the end of the check.
