Hi,
I'm trying to find a laptop to take with me while travelling on trains, so it needs to be light and compact; I'm looking to spend as little as possible, ideally under £500.
The laptop will be used for Netflix and playing some old games - I typically play Transport Tycoon, Zeus, old Maxis games like Theme Hospital etc. I play a few newer games but they're still relatively basic, like Papers, Please.
I'm struggling to find anything smaller than 15.6", but I've now seen the 13" Lafite. I could afford to increase the RAM to 4 or 8gb, and maybe upgrade the CPU to i3 if needed.
Does this sound like it would be sufficient for my needs, and if so what CPU/RAM should I go for? I love my PC Specialist desktop, so it would be great to get my laptop here too.
Cheers!
Edited to add: I'd also be tempted to replace the 500gb hard drive with a 240gb SSD. I have an external hard drive for storing documents etc, so it would just be the games mentioned above that would be on the computer itself. Thoughts on this would be appreciated too!
