Laptop for Girlfriend wanting to game

Hey everyone, so my girlfriend is gotten into the wildstar beta and her laptop runs it like a turd through grit. So I've just glanced over the laptops you guys have (Looking to pay on finance as I'm not able to pay straight up, and i'd like to keep it below £20 a month if possible.)

Heres what I threw together... Any changes? She also plays The Sims 3 with every expansion and her laptop at the moment just freezes and closes the game without notice, so looking for something that'll run that.

I've made a couple builds for you here, both are a little bit over £20 a month, but well worth the increase. I have changed it to a 15.6" screen for portability and it's cheaper, but you could get the exact same specs on the 17.3" version.

That laptop is very underpowered, the following laptop is £742, or £22.69 a month on finance (the GPU is 40% better and the CPU is leagues ahead of the one you chose).

Yeah, I just ordered the exact same pc as the 2nd one, for the £50 price difference I thought it was worth it. But the i5 is also a good CPU which will be more than enough for your needs.

I would drop the fast track and use the money for a Scorpio black , better thermal paste or other upgrades

I've changed it to a 500gb Scorpio Black and its onlt £1 more on finance. So I'm thinking that is do-able

Any extra changes or addons you can suggest for a gaming laptop?

For £9 extra you can switch out the standard thermal paste for the Arctic MX-4 Extreme instead, like keynes said. Provides better cooling of ~10 degrees, I believe, good for gaming.

Get rid of the fast track (unless really needed) and upgrade to the 750gb scorpio black (about £5 more than the 500gb one), get the upgraded thermal paste as for £9 you may as well for it to run cooler and go for 8gb of ram if you can.
