I have an Optimus Series laptop with:
i7-4710MQ CPU
8GB RAM
GTX 860M
I tried running furmark today and the laptop would consistently turn off completely a few seconds into the test. I've watched the GPU temperature with nvidia-smi and it peaked between 80C and 90C before the switch off.
Could the power being provided not be enough for the laptop while running this? This happens with both chargers that I have from pcspecialist with and without the battery plugged in and on battery power.
