Looking to get two PC's for my teenage sons

I'm looking to get two pc's for my teenage sons. They'll be for gaming and schoolwork. Would this be ok delving into 1440p gaming? Please pull it appart and advise. I've only put in 1 hard drive to keep the initial cost down. Will add another at a later date.

The GPU is more of a 1080p GPU, but all the 1440p GPUs are much more expensive (i.e. looking at over £2000 for a 1440p build at the moment)...and there are no 'good value' 1080p GPUs except maybe the Intel B580

I've tweaked the components a little to give you more headroom for upgrades, a more powerful CPU, better spec PSU, better case (although if you want the aquarium style then swap back to the 3500X) and removed some fans that were overkill (and will just add noise rather than more cooling).
