lost office product key

ive lost my MS office 2010 profestional office key and ive now logged into microsoft account to retrieve it but its not there. anyone got any ideas? if i cant find my proof of purchase i have no leg to stand on and will have to fork out another £400!

Did you purchase it from a retail store or did you buy it online? Either way, I imagine you paid on a credit/debit card? If thats the case you'll have proof of purchase I'd have thought you will be able to get it sorted.

its in my email account that was with my old college which has now been destroyed.

Good idea with the bank statements will have a search through

If you still have it installed try Belarc Advisor,it can detect the product keys of all sorts of software including MS Office as long as they are installed.

It was unfortunately on my old hdd which is in the process of being exchanged under warranty.

I've just contacted my credit card company and requested last years statements.
