Mini PC connected to TV (HDMI) how do I connect a mic?

Hello everyone,

As said in the title, I have my PC connected to a TV (I play from my bed, yes I'm gone full slacker ahah).
And I wish to use a microphone when playing online, the problem is, I have not managed yet to make it work, I have the sound coming in my ears, but my microphone does not seem to be recognised.

Here is how everything is plugged.

PC
-> plugged to tv via HDMI
-> speakers connected to the TV via audio jack.

I know it's a bit of a mess but I would really love to be able to speak, I am tired of being the silent one that can't reply to taunts :walkman:

What microphone have you got? USB? If so, you just plug it in to the PC and install drivers if required.

You'll just need to connect the mic to the PC (not the TV), so either you'll have a USB headset / Mic like SpyderTracks suggests or a (typically) 3.5mm jack mic in either case this should be plugged into the PC so you can use voice comms.
