My new PC...

Ok, so not really. BUT. I was wondering what spec I could get for the same amount of money that I spent on my original rig (about £2300 in total).

I didn't know as much about PCs as I do now - there is plenty I would have done differently!

Anyway, slightly over £2300, and intended use is video editing with some gaming, but here it is:

I added quite a large PSU, possibly overkill. It was with the intention of adding another GPU in the future, plus an array of HDDs over time. I've left the CPU cooler as it is, as I'd probably add my own.

As I say, purely hypothetical build, but it's fun to do from time to time :)

£2388 and you couldn't stretch beyond the Silver warranty? :D

I too use the site to make builds every so often, just to see what I could get for similar money to my current PC. Quite shocking the difference in power in only a few years.

Sounds like such a bad idea similar to looking at all your past lottery numbers to see if you would have ever won with your used combinations.

But silver warranty is such good value :D Plus going off the performance of my current PC, I'm sure silver is more than adequate :D

You could reuse the sound card and GPU from you current rig, and possibly the RAM too.... (order 2gb then pull it out and put the old stuff in?)

That would allow x99
