Very nice looking spec, one thing though, why 1 6gbs drive and one 3gbs drive? The WD1002FAEX offers next to no performance increase as the RPM of the drive is the limiting factor here and doesnt surpass the 3gbs bandwidth.

Great spec. I would have thought that the black drive is faster than the green drive, especially given that the OS is installed on it.

WD Greens - cool, quite and low power usage, so performance suffers some, so not recommended as boot drive but for storage.

WD Black - Good performance, more heat, fine as boot drive...

Yes,thats right.according to all my research the green drive is not good for os as it spins down when idle so dont know why sleinous keeps harping on about this, much as i respect his obvious knowledge.

Because they only power down when idle...and resume when activity resumes. You dont honestly think they power down and then thats it, end of session, time to reboot, do you? By all means go for whichever one you want, its your future computer, not mine. I have both versions of the drive, with an OS on each, not noticed any lapse in performance on my green despite it being an even older model than the WD EARS

Looks great, only thing I'd change is removing the 24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM since the 10x BLU-RAY RE-WRITER DRIVE, 16x DVD ±R/±RW does the same thing and more. But if you need 2 disc drives then it's perfect :)

Ok not the best choice of words, what i meant,as posted to you before. re quote.eg.tomshardware.(The green drives are not considered good "Primary" drives due to the fact they will drop to 5400 rpm from 7200 rpm depending on workload. It takes time for them to spin backup to 7200.)Fair point from phoenix, but i have reasons for having all the components listed,as ive said before.
