I have been asked to order a gaming pc for someones birthday, I was looking at a guide on these forums but wanted to double check.
tips and suggestions welcome :)

These questions may be tricky as it's for someone else but important to get the most out of the money and the PC:
Do you happen to know what monitor they will be using?
Do you know what type of video editing. Short clips or an hour or two?
Budget, what's the ideal spend and the max?
If you include the link at the bottom of the configuration this allows the suggestion to be edited, it helps with recommending alterations

Is the collective budget for the PC £3.4K? I think there are some changes I would recommend if that was the case. To make better use of the money as it's almost top end across the board but not quite there.

With regards to the monitor. It really depends on the budget. With the 2080Ti you would look to be spending a minimum of £400 on the monitor, but the sky is the limit. Dream monitor, for me, would be a Super-Ultrawide. Those start around £1k though.

Then there's whether you wanted to look at 4k. I think a decent 4k monitor is around £500, going up to over £1k for the really good ones.

This is the way I would personally go if the upper limit was available....

For the monitor, you're looking at 1440p Ultrawide 100hz+, 1440p Super Ultrawide 100hz+ or 4k 100hz+. Make sure whichever choice has Freesync.
