New build, opinions. :)

Hi all.

It's that time again to buy a new PC. This will be for gaming at 1080p on high settings for the latest games with an option in future to go 1440p.

I was a Intel person/Nvidia but have read that Amd/Radeon provide good bang for buck. I'm not interested in bells and whistles really, just a solid pc that will easily run the latest games on high settings and will hopefully last me a few years.

I'm looking at the below build and would welcome opinion and advice.

This is a tight-ish budget for a gaming PC in 2025. You've hit it by going for an old platform. That base system (excluding the graphics card) is basically five years old already, which limits both upgradability and just plain longevity.

I'd strongly advise going for a system based on at least Ryzen 7000 series CPUs.

Here's the system I might think the "base" for what you're talking about, if your budget can stretch...
